A late George III mahogany extending patent dining table, the top with a reeded edge and three extra leaves, raised on reeded tapering legs with brass caps and castors, both ends with an applied brass handle, one inscribed 'Patent Morgan & Sanders, Inventors & Manufacturers, 16 and 17, Catherine Street, Strand, London', overall length approx 301cm, width approx 106.5cm. Note: a similar table is illustrated in The Pictorial Dictionary of Marked London Furniture 1700-1840, compiled by Christopher Gilbert and published by the Furniture History Society.
