A set of twelve plated fish knives and forks with Japanese shibayama inlaid ivory handles, Meiji period, each plated blade engraved in the Aesthetic taste with flowers and insects, the ivory handles decorated to both sides in mother-of-pearl, hardstones, coral and gilt lacquer with birds, insects and flowers, (splits to some handles and minor inlay losses), within a walnut case.
