A Victorian mess jacket of the 5th Dragoon Guards, formerly the property of Major General R.T. Godman, who before he died in 1912 was the last survivor of the Charge of the Heavy Brigade, the scarlet jacket with green facings, gold bullion lace edges and Victorian 5th Dragoon Guards buttons (some moth damage), together with a bullion decorated green velvet waistcoat, a pair of bullion epaulettes with rank badges of Lieutenant Colonel, a gilded and silvered waist belt plate with VR cypher, and some bullion lace.
