LOT 405
A late Victorian silver inkstand of rectangular canted corner form, the top inscribed 'Vestry of St Pancras London, Presented to William Henry Matthew Esq by his colleagues as a mark of their appreciation of his very able and impartial conduct as Chairman of the Vestry 1897-8, 7th September 1898', flanked by two pen recesses and inkwell apertures, with gadrooned rims, raised on winged paw feet, London 1898 by Mappin & Webb, fitted with two square cut glass inkwells with silver collars and hinged gadrooned lids, London 1895, length approx 29cm.
