A Chinese Canton famille rose punch bowl, first half of 19th Century, the exterior painted with four panelled figural scenes against a ground of birds, butterflies and flowers, the rim filled with figural scenes and smaller bird vignettes, the interior with a continuous scene of a procession of dignitaries and attendants in a garden setting, all beneath a repeated border containing fruit and flowers on a gilt ground, diameter approx 39.5cm (restoration).
