Two Japanese ivory tusk carvings, Meiji period, one carved and pierced with a man holding a scroll from which a fountain and carp emerge, accompanied by a boy below, the other modelled as a man holding a ruyi sceptre with phoenix and immortal perched on his shoulder, accompanied by two monkeys at his feet, both mounted on wooden bases, total height approx 39cm and 40cm (hand of immortal chipped).
