BIBLE, In English. [The Bible. London: by the deputies of Christopher Barker, 1595.] 4to signed in 8s (203 x 147mm.) Occasional wood-cut illustrations, extra-illustrated with 18th Century engravings. (Some browning and soiling, lacking first few leaves including title-page, C8 torn and repaired with slight loss of text, shaved with slight loss, small tear to NT title-page.) Early 18th Century calf (worn, lower cover detached, stitching broken and some leaves now loosely inserted). Provenance: W.R. Rowland (signature to front pastedown); Susanna Palmer (binding).
