LOT 1137
A 19th Century Dutch silver novelty watch holder in the form of a longcase clock, the arched top surmounted by three figures above figural and landscape panels within scroll borders, height approx 21cm, fitted with a Continental pocket watch, probably Dutch, the gilt fusee movement with verge escapement, the back plate detailed 'J. Wilder, London, 21386', the enamelled dial with Roman numerals and later painted with a sailing boat and building, within a silver case, London 1786.
