A large Talavera style maiolica vase and matched gilt cast iron stand, late 19th Century, the high shouldered body painted with three stages of a matador fighting a bull surrounded by trees between geometric and foliate banded decoration, unmarked, height of vase approx 72cm, the stand of pierced openwork form with foliate medallions and foliate scroll terminals on four stylized foliate feet, overall height approx 102cm.
