A Japanese Satsuma earthenware vase, Meiji period, the ovoid body painted and gilt with four lappet shaped panels filled with butterflies, birds, flowers, scrolls and brocade ball pendants, reserved against an iron red ground filled with lotus and tendrils, applied with a silver rim, height approx 9cm (some wear).
