FORESTER, C.S. (1899-1966). - HAMMERSLEY & CO. (manufacturers). A gilt-highlighted bone china mug with scroll handle (104mm. high). Hand-painted in polychrome with opposing vignette scenes of a ship and Hornblower flanking gilt text 'To / C.S. Forester / Hornblower's Companion', green printed mark to base. Provenance: The Forester and Troughton-Smith Family Archive.
