LOT 1144
A George III figured mahogany longcase clock with eight day movement striking on a bell, the silvered chapter ring with Roman numerals and inscribed 'Foden, Congleton' framing a matt gilt centre with date aperture, cornered with pierced gilt scroll spandrels, the hood with broken arch pediment above a blind fretwork frieze, glazed door and fluted columns, the trunk with fluted corner columns flanking a door with shaped top, on a panelled base and ogee bracket feet, height approx 210.5cm, together with a pendulum and two weights (faults).
