An early 19th Century rosewood and amboyna cylinder writing cabinet, in the manner of Seddon, with overall satinwood crossbanding and box and ebony stringing, the faux marble top above a pair of panelled doors each inset with a convex glass panel reverse painted with fallen game, the fall flap with an oval amboyna reserve, rising to reveal an interior of pigeon holes, drawers and a pull-out hinged writing surface, the frieze fitted with two drawers above square tapering legs terminating in brass caps and castors, height approx 140cm, width approx 73cm.
