A Chinese Canton export ivory card case and cover, mid-19th Century, of serpentine outline, the bow front finely carved in high relief with an octagonal figural panel filled with sages and attendants with pine beyond, within a surround of dense flowers, the flat reverse with a village scene of figures, buildings and trees, length approx 9.7cm, within a fitted walnut rectangular case (minor faults).
