A William IV needlework sampler by Sarah Turner, 1834, aged 11, the text above an alphabet and numerals between floral bands, the lower section with a vignette of a sportsman with a rifle accompanied by a dog and flanked by two churches, all within a spray border, worked with coloured threads and wools in cross and turning stitches on a cream canvas ground, approx 51.5cm x 34cm, within a maple frame.
