A mid/late 19th Century boxwood and ebony Staunton chess set by Jaques, London, contained within a gutta-percha box of castellated Gothic form, the removable lid decorated with crowns, foliate scrolls and roundels, height of king approx 8.5cm, together with a folding leather board (faults).
