SHACKLETON, Ernest. South, the Story of Shackleton's Last Expedition 1914-1917. London: William Heinemann, 1919. First edition, first impression, 8vo (247 x 153mm.) Colour frontispiece, 86 black and white full-page illustrations, 1 double-page plate, folding map bound at rear. (Browned as usual, preliminary blank with minor tear, first few leaves slightly creased, map creased and with minor tears at folds.) Original dark blue cloth blocked in silver (extremities lightly bumped, slightly heavier at head and foot of spine, small repair to edge of spine).
