LOT 1120
A 19th Century French gilt metal and porcelain mantel clock with eight day movement striking on a bell, the porcelain circular dial with gilt Roman numerals on a bleu céleste ground chapter ring framing a central panel depicting a cherub and flower garland, inscribed 'Lewis & Sons, Paris', the arched case with porcelain oval portrait surmount flanked by a pair of cherubs, above urn finials, applied flower festoons and Classical maiden columns, the porcelain front and side panels painted with further cherubs within bleu céleste borders, on a foliate moulded breakfront base and beaded and fluted tapering feet, height approx 35cm, together with a pendulum and a key.
