A Turkish Ottoman silver and parcel gilt travelling pen case [davat], of typical form, the rectangular tubular pen case with pronounced gilt rounded ends, engraved with foliage, the hinged end flanked by a barrel-shaped inkwell and cover, the borders similarly gilt and engraved with foliage, stamped Tughra mark, length approx 23cm.
