A Chinese celadon wine jar and cover (gui), Yuan/early Ming dynasty, the squat baluster body carved with a frieze of free lotus above a border of stiff leaves, the matched lotus leaf cover incised with further flowers, all under a matt smoky olive green glaze, height approx 26.5cm (glaze chips to rim interior and chip to foot), together with a hardwood stand.
