LOT 2002
An Edwardian satinwood display cabinet-on-stand, of Royal interest, manufactured by Queen Alexandra's Carving School and probably housed originally at Sandringham, with overall crossbanding and stringing, the moulded pediment above a pair of astragal glazed doors enclosing glass shelves, the stand fitted with a single drawer, on tapering legs united by a shaped undertier, bearing manufacturer's stamp to drawer and inscribed 'From Sandringham' to the inside of one door, height 176cm, width 68cm, depth 37.5cm. Note: this lot comes with a copy of a letter dated 4th January 1979 from the Estate Office of Sandringham, confirming the impressed mark on the drawer indicates that it was 'constructed by pupils at Queen Alexandra's Carving School'.
